I am going to pick up a new bike tomorrow. This time it's another Triumph. 2005 America with 5,000 miles on it. After finding everything out about these Harleys I wanted another Triumph, that makes 23 bikes now.

Already bought some stuff for it. It is unmolested so going to need to remove the air injection, open the pipes, remove the air box, jet the carbs, adjust the pilot, all the stuff we haven't talked about on here in quite a while. I plan on lowering it 3" like I did Wendys America. Light bar with turn signals. Going to make another oil pressure gauge. This bike has spokes in the back and a mag in front, I already bought a spoke front wheel. I also bought an oil tep gauge. I also want to put floor boards on it, only one I ever owned with those on it except Wendys.

Picked it up today, carbs were completely shot from being put away with fuel in them and the petcock open. Thankfully I had a set I bought from a member here to try on my Speedmaster. Got home around 1 and was riding by 4. That included a quick wash and oil change first. I has been dumped but I had everything already to fix what was broken or bent. Plus some dress up stuff I had already too. It was a little rougher than I thought but not bad. Rode about 30 miles, rides straight and smooth. I got for even less than I had initially negotiated. Anybody wanna buy a Harley with S&S gear drive cams? LOL

When I blew the dirt off the neutral light lens in the dash blew off. Did anyone ever find a source for those?

Can't help you with the lens. Do you have your take off carbs soaking?

No, they are completely shot. The float seat is so badly rusted that I can't get the needles out of the seats and the jets are all corroded shut. I found the neutral light for $8. Had to buy the whole light but that works for me. It isn't the original one but an after market generic power sports green neutral light with the N in the middle and chrome bezel, won't be able to tell the difference.

Today I put open shotgun style pipes on I made from a set of stock tapered pipes. I cut the taper off and removed the baffles leaving the reducer cone and mesh on the walls with the fiberglass behind it. They sound great. I also put bullet rear blinker on with visors that clear each side of the tag by about 1/2". They are double filament so the dimmer one I hooked to my brake lights instead of the tail light and the brighter one is turn. Even though they are bulb type lights I need to install a resistor because they flash too fast. I have done a ton of stuff to this bike, it's almost what I want it to be now.

I made the pipes I did because they sounded so good on my other bike. Nice deep sound.

Had this bike out today for a reasonably long ride. It didn't miss a beat, ran great. Carb bowls leak because I opened them to rejet for pipes and intake and the bowl seals being as old as they are distorted and don't seal right now. I have new ones on the way

Made the light bar fit and made a bracket to put the bullet turn signals between the headlight and driving lights. I made it so the driving lights are out farther than the turn signals and the turn signals are out farther than the headlight so they step out starting with the head light. Made the bracket out of stainless and polished it. It's shinier than the chrome! LOL

Maybe I will when I have a few minutes that I'm not doing other stuff, usually when I post I am doing other stuff at the same time. Also all my pictures of it are on my phone and my computer doesn't recognize my phone so I have to send them to myself. I would want to do that so I could post what I started with and what I turned it into. I machined mounts for my EZ Brackets so I can put my bags from my other bike on it. I used those today at the grocery store. On a side note I had my 64 BMW running yesterday and opened the tool box for the first time in years because I lost the key but I was looking for something else and found it recently. I thought I knew where I left the key but it wasn't even on the same floor when I found it. That old bike has the original tools and canvas tool roll in it. Tool box is cool too, one knee pad has a key hole in it and flips down revealing a tool box in the gas tank. Great ols bike hard to believe that thing still runs It still has the same points in it from the day I bought it back in the late 80s, maybe early 90s. All I did was bring it home clean the points and carbs and been riding it all these years. Naturally I put tires on it and changed the oil.

One thing I have not been able to find so far is a finisher for the primary. It looks good without it but I would like a stainless finisher for the round part that would be the derby cover on a Hardley like on my Speedmaster and I put on Wendys America.
