My computer crashed and I forgot my password to log in here. I had to re-install windows and it wiped everything.I tried resetting my password but I couldn't get an Email from this site. I must have tried 20 times. So reset doesn't work. I also Email admin twice and got no reply. I guess no one is minding the store anymore. I finally fired up one of my old computers and it had the password saved on it.

Got to get a notebook and jot these things down.

On another note, a car forum that I'm a member on, one of the guys didn't post anything for about a year. Come to find out ,he passed away shortly after he had a stroke. In his Forum Bio. he just left his first name and just a nearby city for his address so it was hard for anybody to track him down to find out what happened. I don't know if he had any family members or friends who could of accessed his accounts to give people a heads up on what happened.

I often wonder about some of the people I used to talk with on here that are no longer around.

A lot of people not around anymore. I fear as some were older many are literally not around anymore.

That thought has occurred to me as well. Here is hoping its just they don't like chatting any longer and are ghosting the site.

Yep, it's pretty quiet, sigh. There is a pretty active America/Speedy forum over at Triumphrat - dare I mention this? While I'm at it - Happy Holidays and or Merry Christmas to everyone! Here's hoping 2022 is a better year...

I see a few on there I recognize from time to time but not that many and not as frequent as on this site.

Wishing all still tuning in and those that aren't a very good holiday time. Ho Ho Ho

Hello and Merry Christmas to those down under.

What is the name of the site I come up with one in Triumphrat and one called Triumph Bobber? In the Bobber forum there was question asked about tires six months ago with not a single reply. In this forum well at least previously that could have spawned a three page discussion.

We are still here. Not sure why we didnt get a notification on your password issue but it is not the first time we have had a similar issue.
Yes, what was once a very active website has now faded nearly into oblivion with only a few hardcore supporters still hanging on. I cant say this is not the natural order of things.. The fact that Triumph quit making anything resembling our bikes and a lot of people traded bikes for a different model and yes, we have lost quite a few members to untimely and natural deaths. But the reality is that we are getting old plain and simple. We have been here for nearly 20 years so that should come as no surprise to anyone. I am just simply not that social anymore, even before covid I had begun to seek more quiet time than social activities. Probably doesnt help that between my prostate and my knees, i just cant ride that much anymore.
We are dedicated to keep the site up and running as long as we can but bear with us on the tech issues, we will eventually get things sorted out..hopefully

I just looked at the Chromehead web site BMW R1200C, its very active and they haven't made any of those since 2004. Of course thems special people. LOL. I was this close to buying a used one when I discovered the Speedmaster in 2007 and subsequently this web site.

+1 I got locked out again and I was using the right password, I think. I tried everything I could think of besides and no luck. Thankfully someone got my message this time and sent me a temporary password. It has gone pretty quiet but I'll be here as long as here is here. I would appreciate it if we could get a heads up if here is going to be gone. I still check in every day.

Man I like them chromeheads! That is a cool-ish looking bike. Weird front suspension, spokes on the outside of the wheels.. Neat stuff.

The R1200C is a very unique bike and I personally like the looks. Most BMW aficionados don't. I wanted to find out why they bashed them so much, and had the opportunity to ride one that was for sale locally. It had all the power of my 1972 Honda 350, which was precisely what most of them said. I passed.

The ride may be fun, but in the Great Scheme of things, it really is about the destination! John 3:16
