I have been looking through everywhere I could think of. Recently, I thought, someone had posted a picture of their bike with a side mount headlight and of course fork brackets. I am curious how they mounted them and what size mounts were they?

Piper did but you need to remove top shrouds and put brackets are for 41mm forks like the one on the pic and new headlight with side mounts...

Or take the front wheel off. Undo the pinch bolts on the trees and slide the forks down enough for the headlight mounts to fit onto the fork tubes.

Will Bonneville or Scrambler shrouds fit?
I thought I read all the bonnie line (including us) had the same fork diameter, but I may be wrong.

I do not have calipers.
Any idea what the diameter of the 2002 upper shrouds are?

Like I need more ideas!

Here's mine. I found a set of brackets on ebay that fit over the top fork shrouds. I must say I like this setup. Just tell me if you need more info.

(The bracket on top of the headlight is for my fly screen)

Sorry it took so long. Life has been too busy lately. Here is some info.

Here's a link to the brackets:

And here's the headlight:

I really like this retro setup.

I've got a black set like the ones F. Eddy sells, nice quality. There are ones around for $39, but they are pot metal crap construction.

Yes, I noticed that particular seller would not send to the US, but I found the same brand in the US. The Joker Machine are nice (and expensive), but do not fit over the older fork shrouds, they would fit if I decided to leave the shrouds off. I'm going for something similar to what Piper has.

Excellent Brent! When you find out some way to cover or do something good with the mounting hole from the old bracket, please share. I've found that this setup is very sturdy and most of all, pretty retro and old school-cool!
