Love that "smoke" paint job on your Speedy, Chris! Maybe it's 'cause with the Speedy's blacked-out engine, it complements the look somehow. However, I have a feelin' it wouldn't look quite as "right" on the chromed engined BAs. (...I could be wrong, though)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Ya. I agree, Dwight. I think the black engine helps in complimenting the paint or vise-versa. By the way...You said, "Love that "smoke" on YOUR speedy, Chris!" Well, she's passed to another owner now, Dwight and I'm still a little sad about it. All I have now is this ride. Now...back on track with the original program.

I don't know anything about Rickey other than he/she has an "inspired" paint job. I check the local bikes for sale every few days and this post was fresh on my mind when I came across that piece of work. Just had to post.

I went with a mid-sixties inspired paint scheme. If you are inclined to true Triumph Schemes, this site has specifics for many early years. Here are two photos of my '03 America: Cheers, Steven

No, this is a Speedmaster with a T 100 sprocket cover. I actually have a chrome alternator cover from a TBA and I'm looking for a clutch cover. The only proper way to paint over chrome is to remove the chrome first. If your chrome is good, I'll bet you could trade. I'll bet these covers would look great sanded then painted and clear coated to a high gloss, that's how my Norton is done.
