Quite a few reasons as to why its called Boxing day. I was told it was the day the lords, ladies, heads of the household etc gave the servants a day off, however they still had to be provided for so their meals where prepared beforehand and put in boxes (lunch box) for them.

Nowdays the sales start on Boxing day so its no time of for the servants anymore.

Boxing day is the day that my holidays start, as that's the day I get my daughter.

This year was the first one since they last moved, so I had a nice little 236 mile bike ride round trip, during which I finally got rid of that annoying little 0 at the far left of the mileometer

The only thing that could have been better was if it hadn't been so windy and rainy
