I always think it's okay to do that to a Hardly but not to a Triumph.

We used to watch numbskull motorheads pour bleach over their back tires in the high school parking lot and do burnouts, resulting in a noxious cloud of funky smoke that is probably banned by some international warfare treaty and of course, a ruined set of rear tires. Wasn't impressed then or now.

We didn't use bleach but rather, used motor oil (cars). Man did those tires SMOKE! It was the coolest thing to us, yet for some reason failed to impress the girlfriends.

Yeah Keith, but THAT was how you could always tell your girlfriend was really "The One", 'cause she liked watchin' this sorta thing TOO!

Or, put another way...

They asked me how I knew,
My true love was true,
Oh-oh-oh-oh, I, of course, replied,
"Something here inside,
Cannot be denied."

They said, Someday you will find,
All who love are blind.
Oh-oh-oh-oh, when your TIRE'S on fire,
You must realize,
Smoke gets in your eyes."

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I always thought of burnouts as the modern version of lighting your cigar with a C note.

Maybe I'm getting old but I would be pissed about the groove my street after the tire disintegrated.
