it musta vibrated out, and i'm not exactly sure how to deal with this. i tried to grab the one off my old sportster speedo, but counter-clockwise just rolls the numbers over and clockwise does nada.
anybody have this happen? fixed it? i mean, can i just order a new one and use locktite or what?

Of coarse you know the only thing to do is take it apart.
I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago.

Bike Bandit has just the knob for about $6 if your dealer doesn't have one.

bike bandit is pretty damned sweet. parts diagrams are very handy.
ordered through the local dealer, though. 6.75, no shipping. this makes me happy.

Steve, don't get in a hurry for the knob if you order from them. I've bought quite a few parts there and it takes a while....they usually order from Triumph Atlanta and then re-ship to you.

Don't forget to get a screw that fits to hold it in place.

@Tony - i ordered it to the dealer (which is also a harley, kawasaki, and a few others, too), and they said it would come from atlanta in like 5 days or something. it's on the work end of my commute, so it's not a problem. thanks for the heads up, though.
@two wheels - thanks for the heads up to you as well. thanks to bike bandit, i knew i'd need it when i called the dealership to order!

Your dealer should be ashamed. The city is Newnan not Atlanta.

I saw elsewhere that there is no drop shipping with BB and they order everything from Georgia, which goes to California before finally being shipped to you. That's why it's so slow. And for my valves, add on top of that Georgia didn't have them in stock and had to wait for them to arrive from old Blighty.
