I get it at the grocery store.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Gas station or HEB.

Always remember to be yourself. Unless you suck. Then pretend to be someone else.

Publix... be careful, though, a little goes a long way. I was transporting some custom ordered ice cream from GA to WV one Christmas. Packed it in a cooler with LOTS of dry ice. It stayed cold, REALLY COLD, by the time we got there, nothing we had in the kitchen would touch it. Had to leave it sitting out on the counter for over an hour to even get the edges thawed enough to get any out of the carton.

Thom I might be wrong, I sometimes am.

Welding supply, grocery store, ice cream vendors, meat processing shop (think deer)...I've used all of those to acquire dry ice for my road show's "rolling fog" effects. Welding supply houses are usually the most reliable sources for me.

Yep, it's still the business for floor to knee thick, covering fog.

Plus that fog is nice and cool when its hot as hell on stage.
I guess we have explored the extent of obtaining dry ice what do some of yall use it for? Aside from stage fog.

#1 temps from dry ice cold and 300F can shrink or grow a bearing or sleeve 10-11 thou, usually the dry ice is for the shaft and the heat for the bearing or sleeve/bushing, depends on the amount of interference you have to overcome

Not if the bearing or bushing is going into a housing, usually a shaft slides in a bushing but I can see a shaft with a interference fit for a bearing.
