Not sure if this would be the right area to post but i'm looking for a good cover that does keep the water off of my bike. Don't have a garage so my dust cover just isn't cutting it.

The Triumph covers fit the bike very well, especially if you have a windshield, bags, backrest. I have the one that is primarily a dust cover but they make a fully waterproof version that fits the same.

+1. The last post on my member's rides thread is a quick little review I did of my cover because someone asked about it. It's called a cycle shell.

I've never seen that type of cover/shelter before. Looks like it works great. May have to consider it. I do have shed storage but dont care to bring the bike in and out thru the yard daily. It is pricey though.

Definitely pricey, but a good investment IMHO to protect my bike. Bought it in spring of 2009 so it's now been through 2 New England winters and it shows no breakdown. More importantly the bike has made it through unscathed.

There are two brands out there that are slightly different:
Cycle Shell cycleshell.com
Bike Barn TheBikeBarn.net

Hi,
I use a Triumph cover and it works well. It fits tight as there are adjustable zips which allows for different screens, different saddle bags or non at all.
The only drawback seems to be in gale force winds it can cause the bike to blow over (£300 worth of repairs in my case). I now take the wind into consideration and park it in behind the van if gales are forecast.

I use this
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/store...tegoryId_165547

The large fits the bike perfectly even with the sissy bar and rack. I don't have a windscreen, but there is an extra large size if you do.

It keeps the bike dry and clean, and no-one passing by knows what sort of bike is underneath it.

The only real drawback is that when it rains I have to keep going and poking it just above the seat (just been and done it) as one of the local cats teat it as their own personal tent

I have a rain cover but I never use it. It's not lined and I've never trusted it NOT to scuff the paint... especially in the wind.

I found a Dowco cover on ebay pretty cheap and picked that up. Give that a try first as it's a cheap option. I park my bike a foot away from a fence in case of wind blow over.
