Billy needs bike sale to save cafehttp://www.frasercoastchronicle.com.au/s...-triple-c-cafe/IN an effort to save a local business, a Maryborough man has stepped forward to sell his cherished motorbike, a 2008 Triumph Speedmaster.
The trouble is bike owner Billy Cash will need to sell his motorbike in the next three days to keep the Triple C Cafe at the Urangan Central Shopping Centre open for business.
Cafe owner Cassie Greenwood has been struggling to save her business after the previous owner gifted it to her.
Business had picked up for the cafe yesterday but Ms Greenwood said she may have to shut down the cafe permanently if they could not come up with enough money to pay bills.
Mr Cash has been trying to sell the bike to help the business and go in as a silent partner for his friend, but has so far been unsuccessful.
Their close-knit group of friends also helped Ms Greenwood renovate the business after it was given to her by the previous owner.
“They won’t let me give up, but I need the funds by Tuesday,” she said.
Two employees are single mums who have had to cut back their hours to keep the business afloat.
Mr Cash and other friends have jumped in to donate their time since Ms Greenwood took over in January.
“To keep this cafe open, we’ll do anything,” Mr Cash said.
The asking price for the Triumph Speedmaster is $12,000, but he will listen to any offers for a quick sale.
Mr Cash’s motorbike will sit at the cafe in the Urangan Central Shopping Centre over the weekend for any prospective buyers.
