1. Do I still have to go to work tomorrow?
2. Can I get drunk without waking up with a hangover?

Do I have time for one more double cheeseburger?
Who am I kidding, I'll still be "left behind."

Is that guy going to be allowed to disapear into obscurity after all this? Or is he going to get properly mocked and teased in the media? The problem with this is, there are a lot of people who are christians who are reasonable and intellegent people who are going to face ridicule over this. Even though they know this guy is a fanatical, sociopath.

Okay, okay, Richard! Are we talkin' "biscuit" as in "biscuit", or REALLY as in "cookie" here???
(...and, IF we're talkin' "COOKIE" here, what flavor...err...I guess your case I mean, what "flavour" of "cookie" are we talkin' about here?????)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

OK, okay. I was going for the alliteration but if translations are necessary ...
"You get the occasional cracked cookie in any packet."
Hmm I think I like that better. The flavour would (not 'wood') have to be nut brownie.

He forgot to factor in leap years, and the fact that the calender of the old testament had only 10 months. Plus they that wrote the old testament had days and nights from 6am to 6 pm.
Then he forgot to read any of the stuff Jesus said in the new part. All that stuff about nobody knowing the day or the hour not even himself. (who I assume was privilaged to the old writings.) Or that part about if anyone says here he comes or there he is don't look cause it aint me. (paraphrasing abit there)

This has all been fun, but why would the media even give this prediction story the time of day. It's a distraction from having to talk about serious predictions that have "unexpectedly" not come true.

Just like that bozo who heads up the Westboro Baptist Church. I don't think mainstream Baptists are associated with him at all.

I believe the ridicule is what it's all about, consider the sources and amount of reporting. It's PC in the news media to ridicule Christianity.
Note that the media ridicules Westboro's religion, but not their politics.

Nowhere really, Camp, the guy that made the May 12 prediction published a book in 1994 predicting that year Christ would return. Why all the hoopla about a discredited "prophet"? I don't have a journalism degree and suck on the computer, but I can do a Google search.
That said, I hope the check I wrote those three strippers yesterday doesn't bounce, should have been at my house guys.

Am I the only one who didn't know life as we know it was supposed to end today? On the drive back this morning from a great week of vacation on the Gulf of Mexico my wife says "Did you see that sign in front of that church, the world was suposed to end today". No wonder I don't go to church.

The guy wasn't totally wrong. Think how many people had their last day on earth yesterday. I bet thousands passed away,so it was the end for them, not to be mean.It is a natural thing every living thing dies, sad to say.

don't hold the words of a sociopath against the whole community of faith. The problem is there are so many of them and they all get publicity for their idiotic ramblings. while the others go about normal lives and get no publicity. so the whole shabang gets a bad rap.
