I just picked up my new (old) 2005 America and wanted to share with you a few photos I took with my iPhone. It's an awesome motorcycle and I have not yet taken it for my first ride (at least as the new owner). All it took was one look and a 10 minute test ride and I was hooked! There are so many beautiful motorcycles on this forum and lots of good information that I'm sure will make my America a better bike . . .
Everything works if you let it . . .

Well, you got the best color ever made by Triumph. Goodwood Green is iconic. The next closest would be, ah nevermind they are all so far behind that color.
I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.

Well Ron, even though I gotta say I think Bruce's bike here is pretty nice lookin', I don't know if "Goodwood Green" was "the best color ever made by Triumph"!
(...ya see, sometimes while I'm in my garage and just lookin' at my Cardinal Red Bonnie America sittin' there, I get "good wood" myself!!!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Hey Bruce, what's going on with the indents of the tank. Can you take a close up picture of just that and post it? Meanwhile I gotta say that is a VERY NICE bike. It's been dressed up quite a bit with some very nice adornments. Good for you!!

"Hey Bruce, what's going on with the indents of the tank. Can you take a close up picture of just that and post it?" Looks like a reflection of a red P/U truck, Keith. BTW... bike Bruce.

Those are not indents (although they would look good). It's just a highly polished tank and the bike is sitting next to an orange Honda Element. The picture was taken on a bright sunny morning so there were some reflections.
