As some of you know, Dale is prepared to run a new batch of Specialty Spares as soon as he gets 6 orders WITH deposits. All orders must be made through Eddy... he's the one handling this. Eddy tells me he has only 2 people committed and I'm one of them, so..... John? Z? You guys mentioned you're in for a new set... let Eddy know so we can get on with this. Anyone else interested? I want mine before riding season and I/we need your help to get this latest batch made up. Time's a wasting! For those of you who don't know, you can contact Eddy here. http://fasteddysports.com/He doesn't have any info on his site pertaining to this special order, nevertheless Eddy's the man to talk to.

Keith, there could be a bit of fear from the unknown going on here. Price, turnaround time, etc. I don’t remember seeing that posted in the other thread but I may have overlooked it. I’m sure some of the newer members may not be familiar with Dale and SS.

I'm in if he can do some short black canons. I'd be willing to buy some short, raw, uncoated canons as well so I could get them ceramic-coated myself.

I hear ya Mike. Still trying to get cost and ETA from Eddy. Of course some newer members won't know about SS and well, there's really nothing we can do about this other than assure everyone that if Eddy is handling it, there's no worries. I don't know Dale either but I sure trust Eddy's judgment and from what I hear, Dale could use the help making this a win/win.

Well I talked to Rene (a friend we see at the Nelson RAT Raid) about getting in on the newest batch of SSs. He's on the fence about it but I did send him some pics and sound bites.
So far we have 3 'for sures (me, John and a guy Eddy knows).' If Z gets in on it that will be 4. Hopefully Rene will bump it up another one. Dale says he'd like to get this done in time for the up and coming riding season (me too!).
Btw... Dale said he'll do 'em in any style we like, including black. Anyone else want to get in on this rare opportunity to own a set of Specialty Spares?

Dang, he'll do black? I better start saving my ducats. I wonder what the turn around is at Jet-Hot for my header pipes...

No hangers, you have to re-use yours.

Huh... Dale said in an email they come with mounting brackets which I assumed was the same thing as hangers.

I got mine used so I don't know. I tore the hangers off my TORs (and tossed the pipes--they were trashed). For the record, Eddy started a thread about the "group buy" in the Vendor forum. Sound off there if you're serious about buying a set. http://www.bonnevilleamerica.com/forums/...ge=0#Post494012

I think I will join in. I already have long slash cuts, but maybe I should try long cannons?

I can't get the hanger off my left side TOR without mutilating something. Same reason I can't torque the fasteners on the right pipe hanger. The inserts/threads in the pipe are turning.....
I'm gonna ride until the fasteners fall out of the right pipe again, then park it until I get some new TORs or go aftermarket then.
No way to fix these.
Keith Houston Ridin'Texas '04 Speedmaster AI removed, Pingle, UNI Filter, 1 shim, straight-through slash-cut TORs, Stage 1 DynaJet, 140 mains, 3 turns, 16/42 final drive, 115K 2020 T120 Black

Make sure you post in Eddy's thread in the vendor forum (that I linked to above) so he can track the numbers.

You know it's just a matter of time before they fail on you. Why not get in on this rare opportunity to purchase some of the best pipes in the industry BEFORE you have to park the bike?
