Looking for input on Mustang solo seats. I've been through the forum history and I've seen a lot of discussion on Corbins, stock seat mods and others, but very little on Mustangs. I know that Mustang officially does not make a seat for Triumph Speedmasters, but could one be modified? I've come across one for a reasonable price that was used on a 2004 Harley Sportster. I don't have access to fit it on my Speedmaster to see if it fits and was hoping that someone here might have already done that for me. Thought about Corbin, don't have the money for that. And the stock seat I've already modified with memory foam. That helped a little, but not enough.

The seat pan is a very specific thing, frame-specific, not just brand-specific, unless you're talking about a sprung seat on a hard tail. Those are fairly generic I think. I don't know how much money you think you would be saving but I'm guessing you'd be in a world of hurt trying to adapt a Harley seat to fit our bikes.

I was curious to see if anyone had tried it. If it doesn't work better to know now before I spend the money. But, if it was close and didn't require extensive mods, then I would certainly experiment and see if I could get it to fit. And yes, if there were no extensive mods, I would be saving a lot of money.

Hey Kent,
I live in Portland also. I've had my seat done at Great Day to Ride. I'd be happy to meet with you and you can have a sit and see what you think.

Just a thought.

Since I'm looking for a solo seat to try, I've found a Triumph brand solo seat from a couple of suppliers that is supposedly a gel seat. Anyone try one of those or know someone who has and their thoughts?
If I stay with the stock seat, Great Day to Ride is certainly an option. I think there is someone here in the NW that does something similar.

This is something for horse saddles but if you look around and/or check the sizes it could work

I am also leaning towards the great day to ride option. After this winter the roads are going to be alot of potholes with a little smooth road mixed in so something needs to be done with the seat.
