Tomorrow I fly (weather permitting) down to Victoria to attend my Mother's 90th birthday!! Yup, family is arriving from all over, including 2 nephews (grand kids for Mom) arriving from Taipei. Mom's excited... heck, we all are!! Her birthday will also serve as a bit of a family reunion which makes it even better, especially for Mom.
I mentioned, "weather permitting." For days now it's been socked in with snow and cloud... flights have been canceled for as many days (it's just a dinky little airstrip here). However, I just checked the forecast for tomorrow and there appears to be a window of chance for clear, open skies. Here's hoping I get out as planned!!!!!!

Great, GREAT sentiments and comments here people... loved reading them all. Hey, guess what? According to the latest forcast, the skies are opening up tomorrow and it looks like I'll be able to get out of here and head for Mom's. I told my Mom today, that I have learned how to part clouds with my mind... IT'S WORKING!!!!!
If ya don't hear from me for a bit, it's good news and I'm outta here!!! I'm sure the plane will fly tomorrow (knock on wood)!

Happy Birthday to your mom, Keith. My mom just celebrated her 80th last month and I know how big that was for us. 90 is so much more of a significant milestone. Good for her. I'm glad the clouds parted and the planes were flying so you could make it there to celebrate with her and the rest of your family.

Hey everybody... just got home from Mom's bday and it was an overwhelming success!!!! She was and is blown away by how many people did so much to make her day the BEST!! She is doing okay for a young lady but fills us siblings with worry as we see distinct and rapid deterioration over that last little while. But for now she is with us and we all enjoy her.
Anyway, just thought I'd let you all know and once again... thanks for all your comments here!!!
