This is a good suggestion. create a forum title that would consist of all the stick pined posts for example you have got like 4 post in the loung about different things If they were in a page of their own. That would be the place to go for all the important forum info. the jet calculators, shim calculators, the donation survey, and the bit about the avitars all under one heading.

You're on to something, but a new forum is not the place. The first 4 sticky posts are there for a reason and won't be there forever. The other ones should migrate elsewhere. I'm considering replacing the "triumph locations" thread completely with a directory on the main site. This would be similar to the Links page but include the addresses and phone numbers (and not require a link to be listed). The Photopost Alternative thread could be unstuck and a link put in the Links page. Same goes for the "Important Site Info" thread, now that I've updated the AUP on the main site and added a link in the header.
But yeah, I agree that needs to be cleaned up. People just aren't paying attention to the IMPORTANT sticky threads (like the time I announced that the site was going down for at least a day and people started calling me) because there's too much cruft. Now that I have control of the main site, time to start using it better.

Thanks! Donations are already coming in via the Donations page... http://www.bonnevilleamerica.com/support-this-site/donations/I imagine we'll start doing the avatars and titles after the poll is finished next Friday. I have to finish working out the guidelines first so this doesn't turn into a debacle.

You can login to paypal if you have an account and send it to bonnevilleamerica.com@gmail.com...I just looked at the button and it doesn't appear to be behaving correctly. Let me check it out and get back to you. Thanks!

John, now youre gonna have all our address's...think of the power!
speaking of new ideas...theres a "mult-quote" button on another forum I go on which is pretty cool. You just scroll down the thread hitting the multiquote button, then when you hit reply, theyre all right there.
Could help out with huge debates and arguements!

Hey John, the signature field allows for [img][/img] tags but they don't show up in the posts - is this an option?

It's an option. I'm not sure why it wasn't turned on before, whether an AUP enforcement issue or a performance (page load) issue. I'll ask the mods and see if they remember.

Personally Im not a fan of that feature unless you can limit the size of the pic to small.

The consensus among the mods is that it was turned off (or never turned on, pick your semantics) because of page load time, mostly, the annoyance factor, to a lesser degree. And it's either on or off, there are no settings to restrict size or anything.

New idea.... lets have a yearly posting of things like the "ugliest mod" or "best mod", "best noob bike", "worst noob bike", etc....
I nominate Keiths light mod for ugliest mod of the year so far.

Would it be possible to remind me why we lost the photopost section? I'm assuming the cost of storage. If that's the case, how about a limit on how many pics or storage each member could have? I wouldn't know if it was possible to limit each member's allotted amount but it would just be a good place to go where we could have a look at other members bikes. If it was possible for a reasonable cost and provided the money was there for a certain amount of storage, any competition (like, best pic of your bike you have etc) pics would be easilly found. Obviously John, I don't know the issues associated but I do recall how popular it was before it went down.. Anyway, good thread this one and btw, what's the going rate for a donation? As usual I've got no idea
Staintune Pipes, K&N Pods, 45 pilots, TBS needles and 145 mains.

Donations are whatever you feel comfortable with. I could tell you the amount of the biggest donation but you might be Photopost died because during an upgrade, I believe in 2006 or 2007 it stopped playing nice with UBB Threads. If I can get UBB Threads upgraded to the latest version it will have it's own built-in gallery, but I've had trouble with the upgrade as we leaping ahead 19 versions of the software.

Right. That might be possible with the upgrade, if that ever happens. I like how r3owners.net posts every new forum thread to twitter. I hope we can do that too. I've already got the new posts on the homepage going there.

How about a memorial page for members who are taken away from us?
Not for ones who leave on their own accord or are kicked out
Morbid I know, but all memorials are

How about making Tales From the Road its own category instead of being just a single, really long, hard to follow continuous thread.
