What have you done for her this week? anything good, something new fitted, oil change, ridden out somewhere cool, Tell us all about it!

For me its been a great week, as it's my first week with my 500 mile 2007 TBA.. This week has included:
- 3 yr old fuel drained and replaced (she's been stood since 10 days old)
- New Battery
- First service (at the Triumph dealer)
- Triumph slash cut shortie TOR pipes fitted (me)
- 'Teardrop' mirrors fitted
- Leather tank cover fitted
- Removed and fitted the footboards (the right-hand side one was loose and could rock, a little disconcerting)
- 'Clear' turn signal lenses fitted
- '8 ball' choke lever fitted at my son's request ;-)
- Genuine Triumph all-weather cover purchased (and fits a treat, even with screen and rack)
- A good clean and polish :-)
- Spent all day yesterday riding out on my direct access course..

Remaining wish-list includes
- a clock, maybe one of the handlebar mounted ones
- retrofit a tacho into the tank console
- purchase a bike lift
- maybe remove the AI
- I'm sure I'll think of more!!

Over to you!

I have a new rear tire sitting at the shop waiting for the 19th when I also get the valves adjusted... new oil and filter sitting in the shed waiting to be changed... about to order new rear brake pads from fasteddy... just seafoamed my fuel system and got the stumble out, something must have been clogged. Recently made my light bar into a quick connect, put 6-pin wiring connectors under the lower triple tree, now I have a regular lightbar for riding with windshield, and a cut down not as wide bar for riding without the screen. I'll have to take some pics soon and post them up.

This week I went to work so I can insure that I have the money to put gas in it and buy new trinkets for it.

I rode it. And I washed it, since some of that riding was in the rain.

Well, this past week, not much more than walk by her a few times in the garage and maybe stop for a second or two to admire what a great lookin' machine she is.

However, today I'll be stretchin' her legs a bit by ridin' her to the Mile Flat Track races at a nearby track here in Prescott.

Set mine up for single seat riding. Installed flyscreen, aux lights, removed passenger peg holders, pillion seat, rack and backrest, installed fender rack and spoiler. The flyscreen was ok for the warmer weather but I put the standard screen on today for the last few weeks of riding before the inevitable happens.

Set it back up for solo.

Rode to a Wings and Wheels Air/Car/Bike show (but it was only about a half mile from home so does that even count?).

Rode to work a few times.

Thought about fitting that 19 tooth sprocket that's been hanging on the wall for a few years. Maybe next week...

Kinda' boring, huh?

Not had much chance to ride mine for a while so. Started her up and let her run for 5/ 10 min today. Started 1st go and still with the original battery. About the footboards. Pull the bolt out a bit and put some washes inside which will pack it out . Tighten up and pack or add more till the boards feel tight. Watch you dont make the left one too tight as you have to lift it to put side stand down. glad your having fun . atb geoff

Thanks for the footboard tip :-)

Actually, it wasn't the 'flip up' bit that was an issue, it was the mounting for the right hand whole assembly, it was rocking back and forth with about 3/4" of play, so the footboard and brake pedal all moved together when you went for the brake. I just removed the footboard and re-tightened the large allen bolt holding the whole thing. Much better now :-)

Hi ben, I think the problem might be that the dowel has come out or not been in the frame had this with mine. if you look there is a hole in the frame where a peg/dowel should be. Also a hole in the footboard for it to go in to stop it rocking. Its only on the right side. I put in a metal type spring dowel in mine. maybe someone else might be able to explain it better . but check yours anyway I might be total wrong matey atb geoff

This week... Made the cuts on what will be my new pipes. Welded the main parts together.

Still to do:
Cut out the cross pipe from the headers and weld in plugs.
Cut off heat shields from the headers and grind/sand everything down.
Weld pipes onto headers.
Weld on tips and mounting tabs.
Paint and wrap.
Re-jet & Balance carbs.

...next project: relocate the battery.

All I've done is rode her a bit

Although I did get a bit of hopeful news about the new garage I'm hoping to get for her, I should have got it in August but solicitors being solicitors

Its a rather nice garage, even comes with a two storey extention complete with 3 bedrooms, bathroom, longe, kitchen and dining room, should be getting it on Friday, hopefully

I let it come to work with me all this week except one day I had to drive the truck because I had to stop at the market on the way home.

I washed her, adjusted the chain... and rode her at any opportunity. She's getting to be one of the last bikes on the road around here this season.
