I thought I'd post a pictorial (a sort of 'catchall') of all the things I did to my bike over the winter. Let's see, there's the www tires, RIVCO mirrors, Corbin seat, new tank badges, loud horns, engine bars, Acewell speedo, driving lights and some other less obvious things. The overall picture Driving lights and Adjure headlight. The driving lights are from RIVCO with high/low beam and 5w parking lights. The 'light bar' is just two pieces of good ol' flat stock. It don't get much simpler than that. The clean look of removing the stock speedo and adding the Acewell to the console. New tank badges Eddy's new decal Another pic depicting the driving light set up. Btw, I mounted an on off switch (visible on 4th pic) for them on the console. Just a little piece of jewelery I found for her. She likes it when I buy her jewelery. The Shoei hardbags. They are still a work in progress. Tried EZs but they really don't work for this application at all. There is far too much bounce in the bags, especially loaded. Back to the drawing board on them but I'll get it. After re-chroming the rails, painting the bags and retrofitting them with different lights I better get it!! Here you can see the RIVCO mirrors. Overall I just love the changes. Now if I could just get that charging system to work properly....

Looking really good there, Keith! You have some nice accents on there. Any pics of the bike with bags mounted?

Not really. That's another thing about the EZs... they made the bags stick out too far to look right so I didn't focus on getting a good pic of them mounted.

Those are Dunlop K177 120/90-18 and K555 170/80-15. Yeah, I had to modify the front fender mount to accommodate the taller front tire.

You mean on the bars between the risers? That's a thermometer. I was gonna mount a clock there but the new speedo has one built in so....

Oh yeah, that was just a small pouch I had along for the day's ride. Now that the speedo's gone there's room to carry things in that spot. Rather convenient!

Can you tell me where you got the hard bag lights? I've been looking for something that will work with the mounting angle / slope on the rear of hard bags. Looks like you found something that will work.

The lights he has in the hard bags look like lights I have seen at truck stops for tractor trailer marker lights.

Nice colour Keith, I recognize that bridge, it where all those British Columbia girls go to catch some sun I was gonna say remove the rack, but then I thought with the hardbags installed it'll look just fine. The seat could use some fringe, givin your Bohemian lifestyle jh

Ian is right, those are truck marker lights made by United Pacific.

I see your tank badges have a rubber gasket between the badges and the tank. I just bought re-pop 68-69 badges, & didn't get rubber gaskets, but need them. Where did you get yours? Are they repro., or original? Does anyone know if the 68-69 badges came with gaskets, or will I have to make some? I'm thinking of getting the style you have here, cause mine don't really "fit" the paint scheme I've used. (which is the exact same as our original 02-07) Nice touches to the bike.
And you may see me tonight

Beautiful bike!! I would suggest lowering the rack a bit. The bike looks like it is sticking its tail in the air. If that's the rack from Triumph, lowering it is a fairly simply mod.

Ya know Robert, I'm not sure where those tank badges came from. They were part of a box of goodies I bought privately. I can try to find out for you if you like.

All your comments are very uplifting... especially in lieu of the fact that she now rests without tank, seat and stator cover. She will remain that way until the replacement stator shows up. Sad times, in spite of the celebratory nature of this thread.

I bought them from Hermy's BMW/Triumph , I think that is where I found the best price and shipping. I am sure you can order them from any Triumph dealer though. Take Care, Brent

Well Derek, those are a vintage set of Shoei hardbags... maybe mid-seventies (ish). I don't think Shoei makes bags anymore but I could be wrong.
