I thinks he means the bike on the left which was in Warlocks' post.
I'm lost.
I believe he's referring to your Bates solo seat.

Hey guy's... My seats are being qc'd this week and should be up for sale week after... The price I am aiming for is £169 finished in a choice of leathers perhaps with tailored designs... The quality is gonna be 1st class, with a good snug fit to the frame and tank... Direct replacement for the triumph ones... No messing... I'll keep you posted. (worldwide shipping too.)

That's how I felt when I bought mine... So many ways to chop it 'cool'... I could buy 10, make every one unique, and still have ideas left over... I would too if I had the money...

I got the mufflers 17"long from www.mikesxs.com a Yamaha XS650 twin site. The mufflers fit a 2 into 1 header they sell. The muffler is a 1-3/4" I.D. . I went down to a local muffler shop and had them make me the exhaust pipe extensions which cost me $40 plus I had to paint them. The mufflers I bought awhile back I believe I paid $69 or $79 a piece for them. I like the sound not to loud (to me) and if they are to loud they give you 3 bolts you can screw in to quite them down.So far I like them.

If I had to guess, I would say for rear set foot controls?

Yep, I think you're right, Dave.
Mike! Sorry, but while I'm not crazy about the exhausts from front to back goin' from chrome to black and then back to chrome again, I have to say your mid-peg/control set-up looks VERY clean! I REALLY like the looks of that!!!
So, what's the story on those babies, huh???

Well guys after getting hit in the old family jewels after hitting a bump after a bridge expansion joint, ouch! I decided I would move the controls back for my short legs.I moved the controls, shifter and brake back to below the seat. I have a 30" inseam to give you an idea.I was always reaching to the controls before. They are now in the position more like a dirt bike or the Scrambler. If I come up to railroad tracks I can stand up on those little pegs and ride over them with no problem.I left the front pegs out there, but I moved them back about 2" so I can move my feet out front on the highway. My legs bother me now if I leave them in one position on a long trip. Now I can put my feet in the middle for control, out front to stretch out or on the back passenger pegs to kind of give my back a break also.--There are more pictures under the exhaust section.I believe I put them under "good price".Pictures before the pipe extensions and after I moved the mufflers back.

I fully understand your reasoning about the mid-pegs, Michael. In fact, it's been probably five years ago since I also came to the same conclusion that sitting on your tailbone with this whole feet forward thing isn't exactly conducive to a lot of people's lower back health...a complaint we occasionally read around here from some BA/SM owners who often eventually feel they must sell their BA/SM and purchase a different bike with a "standard" riding position, because of this very issue. And so, at that time of about five years ago, I also designed and fabricated a set of mid-pegs/brackets for my BA which bolt into those holes on the bottom of the frame rail that the never-to-be-offered-by-Triumph center stands for our bikes were supposed to be bolted into. However, my mid-pegs do not have any controls attached to them, though since the day I bolted those onto my bike, I've been kickin' around ideas about how to move the controls to those pegs, similar to what you've done, or maybe add supplemental controls to them. (btw...I've now seen the closeup pics of your setup which you posted in the exhaust forum, and this might give me some idea as to how I might eventually move and/or add the controls to my mid-peg setup...thanks for directin' me to those pics...I appreciate it!)

Your welcome Dwight. I would like to see your set up espically if you move your controls. Since doing mine I have had other ideas on how to redesign them. It's a matter of time and patience. This set up took quite abit of time figuring out a design that I thought would actually work and hold up. I have lowered the pegs about 1" from the orignal design, but it's been pretty much the same since I put it on. Your design sounds cleaner. I had an old Triumph racer mention the place you used for your midmounts after I had already finished my set up.I have been on some dirt and gravel roads since doing this and I must say I feel much more confident riding on those type roads now. Also I have suprised a few sport bike riders coming up behind them. They do not believe a "cruiser" can handle descent. To me it's a "motorcycle",I have seen a few Harleys that handle pretty good and the Victorys also.
