I also see it as no rear brake light. Is that legal?I would love to trim my fender that far if I could get rid of the brake light.
There's a brake light there... just above the license (number) plate.

WOW - I didn't realize how good the America would look bobbed, but there are some really fine examples here! I particularly like the use of the fork gaiters on some of these, but all look very cool. Thanks for the eye candy and ideas!

When powder coating the front tubes how much of a pain in the ****** is it to replace the fork seals? I wanna do some bottoms but I'm lazy and don't want to redo the seals.

The pipes are d&d with the end caps they supply. I recently took them off and installed a set of Bubs pipes. I also removed the tank badge and replaced with the 2010 emblems. I will post a picture with the changes

Well John, that could all be because the rest of the bike looks so darn good, and so ANY emblem put on it would have to be REALLY awful lookin' in order to even come close to makin' that beautiful bike there look even a little bad!
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Yeah they're Dunlops. Biggest sizes I could find. I had to modify the front fender bracket by cutting ..adding in I think 3/4...and welding it back together. Just clears and hugs the front tire just right. I bought them from an ebay site.I debated a while before I went for the white walls ( just was'nt sure) but after I had them mounted I was glad I did

Speaking of paint I saw one of coolest paint jobs I've seen in a while today. It was a black mustang with ghost flames done in that color changing paint. Was way cool to see. I would do it on my bike if I was gonna paint it and had the money.

Here is a recent bobber job on my 2004 America which was re-built after an April accident. Bill Dunkley of Beckley, WV did the work. A radical rear fender cut back is the most prominent modification among others.
