You can adjust the shifter lever by loosening the lock nuts on the shifter rod and turn it to shorten the shifter rod. On the heel toe shifter, your toe steps on the front (toe) part, and then you step on the rear (heel) part, Your toe isn't designed to "up" shift with the heel toe shifter. It all depends on how much room you have between your shifter and floor board and if you keep the heel toe shifter (can you bend the heel side up a little?,remove it from the bike first before trying to bend it!)
