Just picked up a running Fairbanks Morse hit and miss engine. Excellent compression, extremely good shape except the governor Has some parts missing. Has great compression, starts easily, and runs well. It isn't a true hit and miss, it's throttle governed the exhaust valve is not held open. The governor controls the mixer instead. It also is an early sealed crank case model. No oilers, it has oil in an enclosed crankcase and an oil slinger. Painted nice too, not rusty. I am making a new cart for it. Also bought a sandblasting cabinet cheap that was never used and I am in the process of making upgrades on.
