With each passing day I get closer to riding season. 60 forecast for next week. Can't believe the 06 America is NINETEEN years old, 144,000 miles. Down to 8,000 miles per season. With a little LUCK, I could be riding by the end of the month, YUPPIE! I know some of our friends are already riding and then there are those in the deep south that never have to stop riding due to cold weather. Like my brother 76 degrees and partly sunny in Sarasota FL. Here in Litchfield county in CT is 45 degrees and cloudy. Hope to hear from some of you in response this thread.

I will have to wait to ride there is still lots of snow on the roads/yards/hills. It will be a delayed start depending upon when the white stuff disappears and the rain washes away all the sand and salt and how well I heal from a carpul tunnel operation on my throttle hand. I put it off long enough so end of March I go under the knife, its a small one and only takes about 15 minutes (had left one done two years ago) but it may delay when I first turn the grip.

There was a bit of hope. The heavy rain started here this morning. It was doing a good job of washing away the rain.
Right up to the time that the rain turned to snow!
Looks like I am not going riding anytime soon.

I don't know if its better or worse. Mostly here in CT don't use much sand on the roads, its the crap the State DOT spray on the roads and highways. B4 though the first month I had the America, when sand was still was used on the roads and accumulates near storm drains. I was turning right touched the front brake and down I went on my right side. I remember as I had a hard time getting out from under the bike. I also think I may have bruised or broken a rib or two.

Snow's still melting out here. It'll probably be a month or two before I can take out the bike. Looking forward to it. I start looking forward to getting on the road again in January or sometimes December.
