Loading the bike on the trailer yesterday the front end of the vehicle was high which put the back end and hitch low which in turn raised the back end of the trailer. The corner of the foot rail clipped the cut out switch and shut the bike off, now the plunger is frozen. I looked in the manual and can see the one wire goes to the control module and the other to ground. Ok so is it open to run or closed to run because I need to cut that thing out as I can't get one before next weekend when I leave for a month?

I would grab an ohm meter and see what it reads at the switch now ( open or closed ) If it's closed to run just make your self a little pig tale or put a toggle in between and you have yourself a thief deterrent

Just try it both ways if it runs closed you could just use a jumper at the plug or cut it and solder them together. If it runs open just unplug it, I think it runs closed but don't remember for sure anymore.

The plunger is bent slightly and pushed in so I'll stick the meter probes into the wire to see if I can determine open or closed before I cut it out. Cant let a little thing like that stop me from riding while on holidays.

Yes it runs closed because when the switch wires are cut and I put it in gear it stalls. The Hanes manual shows two wires one to the control module and one to ground however there are three wires red, green black. I assume connect green and red and black to ground but dont want to start blowing fuses or worse what would be suggested?

Even local shop mechanic scratched his head when I showed him switch with three wires. He gave me an jumper with alligator clips and said try the wires it wont blow a fuse. Turns out Red and Black, who knows what the green is connected to the switch for.
