I'm getting rust from inside the gas tank.I bought a sealer kit to clean it out and seal it. Anyone have this issue before ? It looks like the factory used a coating on the inside of the tank.

Are you sure it's from your tank? You wouldn't be the first one to get some bad gas.

Yes bike had been sitting and I cleaned out the tank last year, bad gas and all and rust came out.I cleaned it out and kept tank full but it plugged up the filter on the 2nd ride.

I would suggest muatic acid first and try it. Kreem is great but if you don't get it just right it will peel and cause even more issues.

Kreem is ok , but unless they have changes the formula it will not withstand ethanol fuel. This is the stuff you want ! http://damonq.com/red-kote.html

I've used both cream and red-cote. Both are fine, with maybe red cote having the edge on durability. And I think the America tanks DID have some sort of coat in them.
