As my friends on here will remember, my beloved wife of 19 years (and best friend of 41) passed away last Sept. While we had some rough times, we were devoted to each other. Two nights ago, in the middle of the night, I woke up to freezing cold feet pressed up against mine under the covers. I recognized them immediately as my wife's cold feet because she often "tormented" me with them as a laugh. I clearly felt her feet touching mine. Then, I moved my feet for a brief instant, and in that instant the feeling was gone. I teared up for minute and knew that she was thinking of me and she knew I was missing her. That was so like her to tease me with this act. Now, I know the psychology of such things. My memory of that common act of hers was rekindled by missing her. But I am going to believe that it was her spirit getting a chance to let me know she was still with me. I know this is kind of a personal story to share with youse guys on here, but I don't have any problem sharing this with my friends. Stories like these are legion and common among people who love greatly and now I have my own to share.

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

She sounds like the kind of person that might just play the odd April fools joke on you from time to time. Thanks for sharing that with us.

What's that saying?... Cold feet, warm heart or cold hands, warm heart? Either way, she misses you as well as you miss her. PS: Happy Easter

The native Americans used to say a person is not really gone unless they are forgotten. You will never forget her. You are not supposed to forget. You are supposed to transition into happy memories as you deal with loss.
It sounds like you may be getting to that point. Be strong, be happy for all the time you had together.
I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.
