14k and has not left me stranded yet, but last Sat I thought we were close. Last errand of the day, fired up bike to take long way home (ran like a freight train all day). Soon as it started, had a cough on the left carb at idle, rolled on the throttle running strong both cylinders. Made a lap around parking lot, all good as long as throttle was at least 1/8th open. Going to pull tank this afternoon vent issue since last service. Hoping you all have words of wizdom.

Sorry it took so long to respond... life and work can be really pushy.. Looks like I lost a squirrel condom! Air injection has been removed and it looks like some type a air inlet on the left manifold is missing said condom. Looked on son's speedy and hose is attached in this location (air injection?)..
Anyone have a quick source, local autoparts?? Thanks again for the wisdom, Michael

Auto zone to the rescue!!! It is truly amazing what one vacuum cap can do... the old girl is alive and well. I have been a long time lurker on this site and almost every accessory on my son's bike came from its members... I can only say thank you, for everyones help..

It's great when a simple solution solves the issue. FWIW, this is my favorite motorcycle forum.

You can also use a vacuum hose and connect the two ports together, hoses seem to last longer than the caps.
