Issue: Both carbs leaking gas into air filters from bottom holes on the filter side of carbs. As soon as you turn the peacock on it is flowing out.

Issue started after storing outside for approx 3 months while building a garage. Until then no issues.

What I did:
I have completely cleaned the carb and tried to adjust the fuel level by bending the tab on the float and I am either too rich and leaking gas again or too lean and have trouble starting.

Any advice on adjusting the tab and the fuel level would be appreciated.

Take the carbs off and hold upside down and measure the level of the flaot in relation to the carb body. I would have to look up what the measurement is supposed to be. To simply check float level put some clear tubing on the float drain nipple and hold up along side the barb and open the drain. The tube will fill to the level in the bowl. Should be almost even with the seam between the bowl and the body.

Checkout "CV Carb Tuning" in the Performance section. BO2S4 set his to 18 mm I believe, read thru it, it's a good read.

Sounds like stuck floats to me. Cvk carbs are notorious for it.

When I do a carb job on these bikes, I use a bit of two cycle oil on the float needles to prevent them from sticking.
