Can we get this post deleted rather than locked? Its nothing but crap sitting in a tech section, and could come up on searches and such.

The dude clearly started that to argue with everyone, the definition of an internet troll. Now its immortalized here.

Just a suggestion from yours truly.

Gave him lots of help and effort when he first joined the forum but thought he may be a bit slow. Didn't buy the cancer, real cancer sufferers wouldn't be telling that to total strangers, but gave him the benefit of doubt. Now I see he was a troll all along. Don't ban him, ignore him, that's what he'll hate most.

If a guy like that came into my house acting like he did (does), I'd kick him out. This forum is part of my house.

I didnt give an answer in that thread because it just seemed like bait.

Come on he asked if a clearly visible bolt was a torx or hex head and what size it is when he has plenty of tools.

When I have tools and can see the bolt I can usually have the sized figured in less than 20 or 30 attempts.

If he just wants some attention there are things he can say like .......

Well Ill just use my Thanksgiving day for example. Happy Thanksgiving my brother and mother came over, we had a good time doing some target practice at my home built range, and had bacon wrappedchicken breast rather than turkey.

See lots of stuff to comment on.

I had posted one size seemed to small, one too big. What is the big deal about a question like that. Problem is most people here do not have a new bike like mine. Things change all the time in the bike world.

You only think you know everything. No more troll comments like I may be a bit slow. I do take that as a personal insult.

Well, ya know Steve, while I think you've now shown admirable character by apologizing for your earlier lost temper in that thread you started, I HOPE you realize that reason this whole thing went on as long as it did was PROBABLY your use and the "unpardonable sin" of saying that thing about "Get a REAL bike...A HARLEY" in it!

(...and so MY guess is that the powers-that-be around here will probably leave you hangin'-in-the-breeze for AT LEAST a couple more days just for that ALONE!!!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Yeah, well, you HAVE always taken things MUCH too personally around here, Ian!!!

(...'cause I STILL say that whole "Harley" thing Steve said was the "lowest blow" of ALL!!!)

In my 45 years of riding. I have rode every brand of bike made. They all good. Even though some hog haters here. they are a good bike. Perhaps my fav's was my old 4-cyl/750 Honda k and f models. Not so cool of me saying get a hog though. But this is my first triumph.

Doesn't matter if he has a bike or not, what matters is being civil. I don't hold grudges so all is good to me, he did say he was sorry. Most of the HD haters here are not really HD haters. It is a good natured tradition to rib back and forth.

Some of my favorites: It's a geezer magnet, best thing about it is: it is NOT Japanese or a Harley...

Crantini was made in Thailand which is 7/9 ths the distance to Tokyo from England (based on time zones) so does that mean I am 2/9 ths ok with the "sorry" and 7/9 ths wondering why anyone would waste so much time on Motorcycleman (Kill Bill) BS. Disagreement and banter fine but IMHO that was over the line of respect for this community.

Reviving an old thread here, but I thought I'd give an update on Motorcycleman and I think this was the last time he posted in the Lounge. No doubt, he could be a real ass on here, but he was fighting cancer and I think the meds got to him sometimes. I talked to him offline a time or two and he seemed like an okay guy.

Anyway, he's gone. Cancer finally got him in June of last year.

RIP Steve.

Curiously, the obit mentions him riding his HD, but his FB page proudly shows his America.
