When I bought my America in 2006 there was 2 Triumph dealers within 20 miles. One was 4 miles from my work . Collins Triumph quit selling new Triumphs a couple of years ago now on Saturday I got a letter telling me European Motorcycles of Pittsburgh will no longer be selling Triumphs. That sucks cause they were the ones 4 miles from my work. Didn't use them much for service but they allways gave me a good deal on parts.

Ya its a bit dreadful, we only have one here in Edmonton, and they know it, can get a bit cocky from time to time, i would love to see more dealers, or partial dealers or something, great bike, great people so little places to go for help.

This is not a sign of a growing company. Actually it would appear they are not doing very well.

Sadly, Mr. Bloor, your current corporate policy to concentrate on floor space over customer satisfaction, therefore decimating the S.W. Pa. dealer base/network will sway me from ever purchasing another new Triumph. That sorry arsed excuse of a motorcycle department store that sells more shirts than motorcycles and that has replaced two long standing dealers which proudly and competently served their loyal customers is little more than a disgrace. Somebody ought to stop by and look at the turd you've created.

There are two dealerships within 42 miles and neither one carries more than a trifling amount of accessories. Other than the bikes on the floor there's hardly a thing with Triumph's name at either location.

I remember CAT was paying most of there bills selling the tshirts and associated peripherals. The dozen or so times I was there I never saw a sole making a deal for a bike. Its difficult to sell triumphs in pa with so many moco places around, not to mention the harly york plant.

Speaking of dealers, does anyone know if Country Joe Razzano is still the service manager at Trebour in NJ?

Heard Triumph was coercing dealers into # of square feet, dedicated floor space to Triumph, and to move and buy a certain level of accessories, (read Harley boutique like) or give up the dealership. Dealership around here that loved Triumph was forced out of business.
What company with a dealer network doesn't do this? It's always about branding, floor space and service. Autos, construction equipment, bikes, even clothing, damn near every manufacturer does it. Does anyone really believe GM sells the autos reported, no they're loading the dealers, ie an auto is counted as a unit sold to GM when it leaves the factory.

All very true, Mac. However, I think it's probably because of the relatively low volume of Triumph sales in relation to many other vehicle brands and the much lower number of Triumph dealerships already in existence which seems to make these sorts of occurrences stand out even more by comparison.

I don't get it, St. Louis has two Triumph dealers to chose from, and we're not a big city

There's two dealers close to me, one about 15 min. south west of my home, which has other brands(Suzuki and Guzzi). The other about 25 min. north west from me, It's also a HD dealer and they have two separate buildings to keep them apart.

Dave, I have to admit after questioning your comment that St.Louis is "not a big city" and then checking Wiki to see what the population is there, that I was shocked to learn the population is only about 318,000, as I would have guessed it was at least a million.
However, Wiki does also say that the entire metropolitan St.Louis area IS about 2.8 million, and so I would say with that figure in mind it probably would support and make sense in having two Triumph dealerships in your area.

A new Triumph dealer in Springfield now. SO five in Mo. KC, STL x 2, SPR, and El Dorado Springs. At least two of those are small dealers and one has several other brands. And now there are none in Arkansas or Oklahoma. Not sure I see where this is headed since a lot of the sales they used to make in this area were from small to medium sized dealers.

I wouldn't be surprised if Donelson owned or is invested in all but Engles in KC.

I have three to choose from, all about the same distance- about a 90 minute drive. I stopped in at Falcone in Indy, and chatted with the service manager, and let him know, I was determining which one to do business with.
Always got good reports back from people who do bought from them. New dealer opened in Terre Haute this year. Need to pay them a visit soon. Evansville (didn't care for the guy I talked with there, plus don't reply to emails)is closer now that a new interstate is connecting our cities.
No matter how Cynical I become, I can never keep up.

I have 3 Triumph dealers within 85 miles of me, with the closest one being about 50 miles. Of the three dealers only the one in Daytona (about 70 miles away) have I ever been to.
