Check your squirrel condoms (vacuum caps) on the intake manifolds and carbs. (should be 4). They might be cracked and dry rotted. Also check carb to intake rubber, see if it's tight and not cracked too.

You were correct although it’s not a vacuum cap. It’s on the left side where the vacuum cap goes however it has a hose connected to it. It’s completely broken off. What do you call that part?

You need to delete that part. Find yourself an air injection elim. package. How colorful are your exhaust pipes, up close to the head?

Everyone here pretty much nailed it is so much as you probably have an intake leak. Ryk's advice is sound... get rid of all the AI stuff by buying an AI elimination kit (cheap). It's a routine mod... we all did it.

Exhaust leaks will do the same. Check your nuts, they could be loose.

I think the America comes with slightly longer control cables than the Speedmaster. At least when I stretched out a purchased Pinwall, America clutch cable along side of my original Spdy cable, the America cable was 1-3/4" longer, as I rerouted the throttle cables to the other side of the frame spine, they were long enough. My point is that America bars on a stock Spdy may not be completely plug and play. Feel free to correct me as that's how we learn.

I purchased the kit from a local dealer. Is there any where I can find instructions? Preferably with pictures

Can you do the AI elimination without an airbox job. I never asked before because I was still under warranty.
Ride like you mean it.

Exhaust leaking at the head gaskets or loose bolts. It happens more than you know.

Brought an air injection eliminator package installed it and it solve the problem. As a matter of fact there is no more (slight) backfiring of any kind
Thanks for your support
