I have a '10 sppedmaster and the shift lever and rear brake control seem to low so I have to meanuver my foot in to upsift. Also I have to be careful not to let my right foot rest on the brake pedal. Has anyone found an easy adjustment to these to raise them up a little and provide some more foot room between the lever and the pegs?

Welcome to the site and nice bike.I have an '03 Speedmaster. If you wanted to compare the 2 bikes to see if changes were made that you could overcome by swapping out some older levers, I live right in Westboro and often ride to Mt Wachusett which runs me right through West Boylston; let me know. Also, the Mass British Iron Association meets on Hartwell st the first friday of every month, You'll see plenty of bikes there to do comparrisons with.

On your rear brake master cylinder, you should find a double nutted threaded rod extruding out the bottom, use two open end wrenches, loosen both nuts and extend the linkage, tighten it back up. For your shift lever loosen the two jamb nuts on the linkage rod and turn the rod until you are happy with the height, the rod is essentially a turnbuckle, tighten the two jambs and go ride.

Nice, are you a member of the BIA? I know a couple but haven't had the time yet to join with my work schedule. I was thinking of thest getting longer pegs but that doesn't solve my ackward ankle meanuver to get my foot under the shifter. I have been getting used to it though.

That sounds easy enough I had a feeling that rod was the answer but didn't want to go messing with things that I wasn't sure of. I'll give it a shot this weekend. Thanks for the help.

Definitely fix that!!! Don't get caught with your foot underneath when your stopping. I did that once, I was coming to a stoplight and going down thru the gears, the light turned green and the traffic started moving. I was getting ready to up shift and one of the cars stopped to make a left. I couldn't get my foot out of there quick enough so it seemed.
