Hi to all you east coast USA guys, just heard on our early morning news down here that you will be in for a bit of rain.

Keep your heads down and stay safe.

Wishing you all a safe outcome.

Unfortunately I have a very tall pine tree that was hit by lightning in the last thunderstorm we had and it split it down the middle. I can't afford to have it taken down right now and PPL (Penn. Power and Light) won't do anything about it. They tell me they will come out and drop the line so I can have it cut down. I don't have the money to pay anyone and it is too tall for me to do safely myself. I'm worried it won't handle the heavy winds we may get and fall taking my power lines with it. I would think they would want to take at least the top out of it to avoid an outage since I am on a main line. I was planning to take it down but timing is bad. Just have to cross my fingers.

I know but it just amazes me that they wouldn't want to at least look and then act accordingly. If it is no threat (it is) they could just say so but if it is a threat seems it would be easier and more cost effective to take care of it now before it takes out the main. Not to mention save the customers up the line from me quite a bit of trouble.
