hello all,
for those who have installed the motogadget mini or one of they're other speedos/tachs, can you tell me which wire i'm supposed to connect the tach wire to? and could you possibly tell me exactly where that wire is? ie: left wire on right ignition coil? i'm afraid of f-ing it up. thanks.

Hi Brin,
There are quite a few posts on the net about fitting a aftermarket tacho. Go into it in detail including wiring etc.

The wires should be under your console, don't ask me which one.

Edit: Here's another one (I can get lost in this place) http://www.bonnevilleamerica.com/forums/...=true#Post73088

thanks for the links guys. i got it hooked up and everything seems to work right. i didn't end up using their supplied connector because the wires are too small to crimp. i individually soldered and shrink wrapped each wire and pulled power from the 8 pin going to the center console. then i added a 5 amp fuse in between the speedo and the sensor. i connected the yellow wire to the striped yellow coming off the left coil. i put the sensor in the hole of the original speedo bracket brace with some loctite and ran the wire around the brake cable. i think that's all the info i can give.

while programming it asks for the number of ignition impulses per crank turn on the coil you hook up to. values range from .25 to 9. does anyone know what this is on our bikes. i'm running stock coils and stock 790 engine. also what does an 02 ba redline at?

thanks in advance. leaving tomorrow morning on a 2 week trip and i'll likely be checking this on the road. waiting to enter the correct info to take advantage of this expensive ass speedo.
