As some of you might remember, my brother is going to Sturgis next week to compete in the AMD World Championship. His bike is already on it's way. Here is a little video he just put up on Youtube that shows his bike "in action". Remember the engine is from 1924 and had originally a whooping 14bhp LOL! Link to Youtube

I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago.

What is one VERY cool bike your brother built there, Bengt...and especially 'cause I doubt that there'll be too many other Huskys entered into the competition there in South Dakota. (...yep, that baby should REALLY stand out in the crowd, alright!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I hope the shippers handle his bike better than they did for Bert Monroe, lol! Meanwhile here's hoping your brother and his bike get the recognition they deserve!! Great bike!

that motor is awesome! too bad there is only a close up of it for a few seconds at the end. I would like to see more of that exposed valve train in action!

Thanks all! I'll pass on the good luck wishes to my brother.
@Keith, he's sending the bike through DHL. They did a good job last time. Downside is that it's so ugly expensive. Around 7000USD (if my calculations are correct) from Sweden to the US and back again. PHEW!!!
@Dave, I'll try to make him do a little video of just the engine working. It's really cool!

It will have to wait until the bike is back home in Sweden, but stay tuned...

WOW! THAT'S more expensive than a girlfriend!! I sure hope all those onlookers and judges there at Sturgis make it worth his while. Then again... just the experience should be worth his while I should think!

Well, voting is over and he got a decent 16:th place. He also made his excuses for renting a Harley for two days riding in the black mountains before going back home to Sweden. I said OK, for this time only, but don't do it again...ever...

He sure does some nice work with those long front ends, that one looks like it's half the length of the bike. Sounds way cool, too. Nicely done.
