Hey all! I was curious if anyone has this head light visor: 7" Head light Visor I want one for my bike but saw some posts that when this way and that way about what visor to get. I'm just curious if anyone has any experience with this particular one or know of one that's better. I like how this one goes up to the edge of the rim. I don't like the one that looks a bit like a drooping eye lid.

I'm not sure which way is this way or that way is what way. But, I dont see any reason why that visor wouldnt work.

That one does look like a "drooping eye lid" IMO, you can take a look at these... http://www.jpcycles.com/product/3100365?utm_source=googleproducts&utm_medium=cse

Thanks all for the input! Two_wheel, I'll have to take a look at that one! $8 ain't bad if it doesn't work out. This one here is what I don't want it to look like: Headlight Visor I'd like the visor to come up to the very edge of the bucket instead of starting down on in the inside of the ring.

I actually used this one, I thought the one you linked to looked more "droopy" than this. http://www.british-customs.com/chrome-head-light-visor.html

Thanks atperrin!
The one thing I didn't like about that one is how it fits under the ring of the bucket instead of meeting up at the edge of the ring. The first one I posted seems more finished to me.
I was thinking when I said "droopy" that the eye lid is half closed
Do you have any pics of your bike with visor? I'd love to see!

atperrin: Thanks for the photos!
I think I'll give that 7" one I posted about and see where it takes me. I'm really diggin' the way it comes up to the outside edge of the bucket.

Is there any real advantage of these visors apart from a cosmetic change to the appearance of the headlight?

Haha! I agree atperrin! :-D
I think the visors give the bike a nice throw back look. It helps finish off the '40's look to it.

I did find this one from BellaCorse. I think it looks almost identical to British Custom's but I'm not too sure. BCC-080 "Eyelid" Headlight Visor - $24.99 What are your thoughts?

It says in the ad for these visors,They were popular in the 40s 50s an 60s on kars, not these droopy ones anyway. Wrong!! wrong .I'm know alot about that era thru being a street rodder for many many years. These look like a fighters "droopy lid" boxing terms. They shield almost half the light towards the ground
Thats defintely a no-no when riding any bike.Half shields were what was popular back in the day. I just took a pair off my 50 mercury, they are kool looking . I don't want to hit a deer at night-let alone not see him for i hit him .
They make 7" strait visors for auto h/l s. Speed way or a kustom kar shop. "midnight auto supply" in mo. i think, my catalog is out in my shop. would have them. hth

Their site has no prices or cart/checkout. How did you go about placing an order?

I originally found them on eBay. They have a link right on their website to their eBay store.
You could also use the "contact Us" link and ask them. As I recall, they were pretty easy going. I don't remember what I paid for them, but they were well packaged and nicely shipped.
