I took Matilda out for a short ride. At first I thought It may be cold so I bundled up in all my winter gear. Soon i found my self peeling off the layers till I got down to just my leather jacket. Man it was nice, the wind in my face, the sound of that motor growling out a tune like a song. As I rolled on the throttle in the twisties I could hardly hold back a laugh. AAhhh the joy of it. Spring is comming soon I can feel it in the air.

Eeh! Don't let Ed here discourage you down there in "God's Country", Chad!
(...yep, 'cause it sounds to me as if there still "might be" a "little" snow and ice on the roads in the Finger Lakes section of New York State after that last blizzard they had up there, and so "somebody else" besides Nigel over there in Wales might just be a bit envious of your ride TOO!!!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Oh, and btw Chad...MY 50 mile ride Saturday over the mountains of northern Arizona in sunny mid-50 degree weather wasn't too bad EITHER!!!! (...oh, and sorry Ed, I don't have my own blogsite either, just in case you're wonderin'!!!)

"I don't get it, and never WILL", eh Ed?! Geez, there REALLY must be a HECK of a lot of snow and ice left after that blizzard up there, HUH?! Okay! Yeah, "I got it", and yeah I caught the drift of your "complaint" about Chad's thread here. But, you see, as usual, I couldn't resist "rubbin' a little salt in the wounds"(kinda like that stuff they spread on your roads up there this time o' year! ) about how you guys up there in YOUR version of "God's Country" pretty much have a "riding season", whereas you see, many of us residing in our own version of "God's Country" down here and out this-a-way really don't have what is commonly known(up and back east there) as a "riding season". (...and soooooo, now do YOU get it?!...it's just Dwight bein' a smarta$$ again, THAT'S all!!!)

I saw my bike when I pulled the cage out of the garage and drove to my buddies house in the snow to watch the superbowl. Saw it again when I came home.

Sunday afternoon, 2:13 PM Winter... here I stand drenched in the smell of leather worn to remind me of a bygone time. All I can do is stare out the window into a frozen wasteland, wistfully dreaming of days that might have been had I not been born into this vacuous space. My bike and I are grounded, as if being punished for something I/we had no part in. I feel lost, empty... void of will and desire as my bottle sits half empty on the table nearby. My earnest call for help and compassion muted by the glass between me and my dreams. Oh, for the chance to do it again if only the cruel forces of nature would heed my empty cry. Ya see loco... all ya gotta do is spruce up your text with some creative prose, add a pic or two and ya can turn drivel into an engaging story.

I can only do that if I put a helmet in the pic. The only one I got I hang from the bars to put small bolts in while tinkering with the bike. (God knows you don't want to get off topic there, people will get feeling they don't know what to do with. A smile or laugh may break someones lips in there)

You could put this one in there, under the heading, "World's Most Expensive Full face Helmet." Go ahead loco, you can borrow this and I won't mind (see, I qualify as one of the 'white hats' around here).

Well, actually, Friar John, et al, had a valid point in that thread. You see, like Keith said in that thread(he's one of the "et al", ya see ), the idea of WHICH MODEL of helmet one would like to purchase in a forum meant for such topic is probably not where one should place their thoughts about the whole concept of wearing a helmet, if one is lookin' to crack wise and then have their little "joke" appreciated! Yep, ya see, like Friar John said in that thread, that kinda stuff is appreaciated mostly in this here Lounge area. Though, trust me, even HERE in the Lounge I, myself, have "occasionally" felt, let's say, "underappreciated"!!! (...though probably RIGHTFULLY SO!!!...I mean, how many lousy friggin' puns and these oblique references of mine are these poor folks supposed to TAKE around here, HUH???!!!)

I learned one thing in that little thead there. #1 #2 What those whips are for. I didn't know they are helmets.

Ah, so you have the ol' staring out the window syndrome too, John! Yup, I know... it can't be helped but don't look out too long or you'll go "stare" crazy! (Yeah I know... the pun wasn't THAT good... blame it on winter).

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I am getting older, and I am tired of having to yell at Moe when he cannot hear me from beneath my k.a. full face. Any thoughts on a good safe option for less than $400!
The whip is so Ryan 7771 doesn't have to yell at Moe to get his attention!!!! A little OT but... OK????

Geeze loco, I was wondering where you went! Here we were right in the middle of learning how to get along and you up and take off... now where were we?
Oh yeah, I was demonstrating how boring ol' drivel can be turned into something interesting with a little imagination. Oh, and there was the part in this thread where you said you learned something today and I said that makes it a good day. And then we corrected each other on a couple of spelling blunders. OMG, we really ARE making progress here!
Btw, while we're on this wonderful journey of making things better, I just want to point out a small error in your signature. Not that I care or am being picky, just looking out for you, bud... but then again, I guess you could say I'm yanking your chain too just a bit!!
