Anyone take pictures of the snow this past 25th? Currently looking at a cavenders creek webcam and I see the white stuff... Current temp in the gold town: 25 degrees F

Current temp Merritt Island: 35.5 degrees F

Washing the salt and beach sand off the bike earlier this morning: no fun. Doing the 80mph blow off: lots of fun! brrr wearing the michael jackson glove liners: priceless

Near as I can tell, 16" of fresh snow here in the NW corner of CT, and still snowing at around an inch an hour. I'm thinking we'll land at 20" if it snows 'til noon. Currently 16 degrees with wind gusts up to 45 mph. I'm a mile south of the MA border.

I put fresh Mobil 1 in my snow blower last night in honor of lil miss Blizzard Adrianne and her wicked, cold hearted ways, and now the oil is pouring out and the engine sounds funny. It still ran till I shut it down, so maybe a side case or gasket or seal let go? Don't think I threw the rod. Time for the backhoe I suppose. I favor the snow blower for the exercise and clean job it does. Oh well... Guess I could have worser-er problems than that.

My boss emailed me that their trampoline blew away. Guess they won't be using that today. Better head over there soon and get them dug out.

Do you want me to poke my head out the front door with my camera? We have plenty of the stuff. Although it's beautiful out. 34 and sunny.

Down here in the valley, roads were dry and not much snow. Huge amounts up in the high country mind you. I could go for a drive and get some spectacular pics, but I'm just too cozy here in my house, working on my bike in the living room.

well, if I drive west 35 minutes and UP 2500 feet, I can see all I want. DOWN here though on the prairie, only tumblin' tumbleweed, but the weather liars promise some on Thurs/Fri!!

We had a dusting Christmas morning here in Western MD, which was fun. Fortunately the big East Coast storm missed us and it's just cold and windy here, but nothing to shovel!

We've had a thaw!

I can actually put my feet on the pegs when I leave my house.
Rather than wait til I get to the cleared roads

Got about a foot here. My stupid snow blower requires a plastic safety key which of course I can't find. My back hurts.

Greetings from beautiful "sunny and arid" Arizona, folks!

The front of my house a few minutes ago...

And off my new back deck...

(...of course, with Prescott at a mile high in elevation, you pretty much have to expect this sort of thing at this time of year)

Mt Charleston (35 minute drive away) had 8 feet of snow recently and more is expected. However down in the Valley in Vegas we had nothing. Expect nothing. Want nothing.

I understand the feeling there, Dan. Pretty much livin' all my life in SoCal until recently, this here snow(and not bein' able to hop on my bike almost any ol' time I want to now) is somethin' I'm just now startin' to get the hang of.

Though, the good part of all this is that by the weekend all of this white stuff will pretty much be gone with the return of mid-50F weather and dry roads...also a regular occurrence around here.

Hey Dan, ya know what I said about not bein' able to ride in this stuff? Well, forget all that, 'cause I decided to take a ride today anyway!

Uh huh! Of course it wasn't on the BA, but on another form of transportation...namely my trusty little blue plastic toboggan....

(...hey, any port in a storm, eh?!)

Well then, maybe that steel drum of yours that I was tryin' to play(and very unsuccessfully, I might add) Loggins and Messina's "Vahevala" on when I was up there might work as a toboggan...well, at least until they get some more in the stores anyway, eh?!

Steel drums make lousy toboggans... ya know, in the Caribbean they just didn't think of a duel purpose instrument or they woulda done away with outer wall on the drum. Can you imagine the crazy ride you'd get from a sliding a concave drum down a slippery slope on nothing but a whim and a prayer?

Funny thing Dwight... the morning you left I was cravin' rum like you wouldn't believe!!

Well then, MAYBE my rendition of "Vahevala" wasn't as bad as I THOUGHT, eh?!
