I didn't like the chrome Enfield, but I liked all the rest, especially the red one. Too bad they don't have a good rep.

RE has quite a few variations on the theme. Good retro look to those bikes. And the Norton, well... I just want one. It would be soooooo cool to ride one!
I'm curious... did Triumph have a strong presence at the show? They must have... Southern Ontario is a huge market.

You know what Keith, they didn't. GP bikes had a Triumph display which was the smallest of the group. There were no "official" Triumph reps there, just GP Bikes people (who were very friendly and courteous). They did have a 2011 Sprint GT and an 800XS but that was it as far as new models. They did have a good representation of the 2010 Bonneville models as well as the Speedy, America and Thunderbird. I was disappointed that the 2011 Speedys and Americas weren't there to look at and sit on. Wanted to see the new look up close. There were no Thunderbird Storms or any Rocket models on display. I was hoping to see/purchase some of the new accessiories for the new models but there was nothing available.
I'll post some pics of the Triumph and Victory models displayed.
They had a great BMW display including the new 1600 six cylinder Sport Touring model. What a beauty. Ducati and Victory were out in force as well as Harley, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha.
In my opinion the Triumph section did draw some of the biggest crowds. People were amazed with the look of the Bonny and Cruisers. A number that I spoke to were disappointed in the chain drive. One couple I spoke to were each sitting on a Speedy and America and like the bikes especially the price but said they wouldn't buy them because they didn't want to change chains out every 10000 kms. The majority of people don't realize that you can go many 1000s of kilometers/miles on an Xring chain.

I WANT A NEW NORTON !!! but I have not the money P.S. I for one prefer chain over shaft OR belt.... chains in my experience are solid, reliable, "checkable" (i.e. visual inspection" and in case of failure ( as experienced with a belt and shaft) can be "duct-taped" together and ridden home, if a problem with the shaft or belt, well, it was 2a.m. in the middle of no-where and that was the last shaft drive I've owned !

I would like that Norton myself. I have to say I have changed my mind about the Tbird. I sat on one at Hermy's last week and kind of like it. Wendy absolutely loves it. I still don't like the belt drive or exhaust or rad. The small fins are OK on the jugs in person. I still like my SM better but would add a Tbird to my collection if the opportunity presented itself.

I too could easily be swayed to a Norton for my stable. They have a serious looking machine by todays standards and yet retain the old skool charm. Its a winner. As far as the Teabird goes... well I am more of a steak and eggs kinda guy, not big on rice.

One last question Greg... how about Indian? I didn't see any picture of them in your posts so I'm guessing they didn't show up?

Noton 961 $18,000 base price USD.

This one's a fair bit more than $18K, but I'd take either!

Indian should be at the New York MC show in January.
I love the classic look of the Royal Enfields, but they're just too small for me.

I'm starting to get real excited about the new Nortons. The further along they get with this venture the more optimistic I become that the company will really take off. Best I can do for now to support the company is buy a t-shirt, but at least I got a piece of the action!!!

I was hoping to find the new Norton segment from Cafe Racer, but I did find this. Not bad, even if in French. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65g7qxckNKYStill don't think I'd trade in the TBA though. I prefer my laid back cruiser.
Blue/White 2007 TBA, Thruxton needles, Unifilter, AI removed, Polaris Bellmouth, Bubs, Nology Coils/wires, Lightbar, Ricor Intiminators, Hagon Nitros, Tall Sissy Bar w/luggage rack, Dart flyscreen & Lowers. 130 Mains, TrueGel Battery MG12-BS.

Im no expert in French but I am pretty sure he said that this Norton was similar to the Triumph Speedmaster's superior performance due to its black paint job.
Nice bike but it definetely needs an exhaust with a rumble, that sewing machine sound would drive me nutz.
