Just finished racking my wine (60 gallons) for the last time till it's ready to drink which should be about 2 months. I'm still a novice at it, this will be my 4th year, but I enjoy it. Its funny to hear my GF say WE made the wine to her friends but oh well...

I have a bottle of something or other in the fridge. It was given to us, and sitting in the fridge for I dont know how long, so I dont remember what it is.
There are a few vinyards around here, always wanted to learn how to make some wine. Maybe someday I'll get some grapes and give it a go.

Crushing the grapes, making the "must"and racking the "must" is the messy part. You can get some juice from one of the many wine makers web sites(don't use juice from the stores, they have too much preservatives in them) or you can see if one of your local vineyards sells the juice.

Wow, old school wine making... that's admirable Steven! With today's hurried pace most people just buy the juice, and even then many (if not most) take their wine making project to one of those U brew shops to have it made for them. It's pretty cool that you make your wine from the ground up!!
