So, this is a long way off (year or so by my estimate), but I've been thinking of a project to teach me to fiberglass. At the moment, I'm enamored by look of these "Gangster" style fenders. Anybody got anything like this on a BA / SM?? Opinions? Thanks!

I'm sure if you check some HD sites you can find something like that, or graft on another rear fender from a SM or TBA and 'cut and chop'.

Didnt the indians use nearly full coverage front and back guards, would be suitable for the typical weather over here

There is a guy making universal fenders that look like that. Thought I bookmarked it but I didn't see it. I'll have to look again when I have more time.
I like that tail dragger look too and want to do something like that. For now I think I'm just gonna smooth out a fender and do a side mount light. I have also been toying with a tombstone light with chrome skull cover. Once I have another rear fender to play with I'll decide.

There's this one from Murray with a custom low swept rear fender. He chimed in here last year to show us his beauty. This is his thread with more pictures.

Yeah, that's a bling-master for definite. Chrome out the proverbial. But those fenders still flare at the end (not quite drifter, but still). I'm talking more about something that conforms to the curve of the wheel all the way around. I'm pretty sure it'd look good on a SM, but it'd be nice to see before I put in the effort. Maybe I'll just do a mock-up in Inkscape.

None of these come close to the "ultimate" gangst'a (REAL GANGST'A) as brokenfixed's!!! His is the best tail dragger I've ever seen! (It IS brokenfixed that has the flat black one, isn't it?)

Again, "gangster" is only referring to the "wrap-around" style, not how well it's done (google "gangster fender") to see what I'm talking about.

I hear and understand. Thats why I called his "Gangst'a", not because of how "well" it was done, and no, it's not the wrap around style, but for how dang "COOL" it is. (Google "COOL" and you should see his bike.) I do apologize for going "off topic" from the thread.

Brokenfixed has the stock fender just smoothed out where the tailight goes and then the bike is lowered.

I've been wanting to try out one of these rear fenders from Arlen Ness, but have been afraid to pull the trigger.

Thanks... I'm no photoshop guru myself (but I guess that's ok since I use GIMP instead)... Here's a rough idea using a stock photo I found online (also got a little crazy with the paint. Thinking about br-green for the tank eventually).

Could you use your photoshop abilities to put a 2007 America front wheel on a yellow and black 03 Speedmaster. I am thinking of buying a set of 07 wheels from a fellow site member but am not really sure what it would look like. I prefer my the 03 back wheel but like the looks of the 07 front.

You know, that doesn't look too bad, but I think the fender should hug the tire a little bit more, both front and rear, if you decide to go with that. With an America front fender. I do like the green on black. Definitely some killer potential there.

Hey Lance... you did pretty good(better than my attempt) with photo-editing that fender on there. I think it might look pretty cool.

He's got that bike posted in a few places around here. Easiest place to see it(other than 2 posts up) is in the Customs section under "Let's see them Cutom builds". He's got a couple pics about 5 posts down.
