I hope you guys don't mind me posting this but it's good to put it in words. On Tuesday I lost my dear brother as a result of complications arising from a heart procedure. He was my best friend and riding buddy and we had been riding together since he got his licence twelve years ago, at the age of 50 years. I convinced him to replace his japanese sports bike, last year, with a Speedmaster and he loved that bike. I have just retired and he had stopped work as a result of an injury received in an assault four years ago, and we had planned plenty of rides and weekends away for the coming season. Unfortunately this is not to be and I am going to miss him terribly. He has left a gaping hole in my life. I trust that he is now with our father enjoying their favourite hobby of fishing together and riding those perfect roads whenever he can. God Bless Kenny.
I've had a good life - if reincarnated I'd change nothing!!

I'm sure I'm not alone in saying our thoughts are with you. Take your time to mourn and say a little something to him next time you get a chance to ride.
I am lucky in the fact that my cousin had heart trouble and lived to get a donor heart. I am planning an awareness ride to support his cause. Maybe you could start something similar in your brothers memory. This way you could always ride "with him" and keep his memory alive.
sorry for your loss. NR

Glenn, The day will never arrive when a brother can't unburden his heart here. Matter of fact a certain honour is involved when such a sharing occurs. Thoughts and prayers your way. God Bless.

It'll be 10 years in July since I lost my brother, but he still lives on in my heart, and I'm sure your Kenny will in your heart

My sincere heart felt condolences to you and all of Kenny's family.
You have many opportunities to join like minded brothers on the numerous events (posted on here) through the year. Kenny would have it no other way and he will be there in spirit riding with you.

I'm very sorry to hear this Glen. Even more so given you both considered each other friends and riding mates. No one will be able to replace him and you will always have an emptiness in your life where he belonged. Whilst i realise little can console you at such a difficult time, if in the future you can be thankful for the precious times you did share, these good memories may at least provide some comfort.

It will be five years next month since I lost my twin brother. Your description of your relationship with your brother mirrors ours. As I reflect on our life together, my fondest memories are of riding and building custom bikes. As difficult as it is to lose someone so close, the cherished memories can never be taken away, and trust me they never fade. Greiving is the price we pay for loving.I remember feeling a great pain which felt like my heart and soul had been ripped from my chest, I came to realize that it was another heart and soul being shoved in next to mine. Your job, for the rest of your days, is now to live for two men and to carry him with you as his body could no longer do so. May your beautiful memories soon outweigh the sadness you're feeling now and Godspeed Kenny.
