Bought mine last year. It was 3 years old with just under 5000 km (3000 miles). I was able to double that in 4 months, and that was with a bad riding year; only 6 days without rain in July.

Wow!! I am only about 20K behind. I guess mine is considered a low mileage ride then, 14k on a 2002. I bought it new in 2002. Just don't get to ride as much as I would like to.

Had my '03 for just over a year. She had 1200 miles when I bought her. One year later... 10500 miles. I trying to catch up, I really am!!!

06 bought it last year with 3000m on the clock now got 6500, stll a long way behind,you guy's over the pond are so much better off for weather, always seems to rain on my day's off here in Wales

Couple years ahead of schedule here.
In fact, just da udder day, my HD bud was admiring my bike and looked at the odo. His eyes bugged wide open and he told me his 15 year old HD has far less miles then my 03 Speedy.
"Nancy" I thought to myself as I grinned.
A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice.

I'm about 20,000 miles ahead of schedule. Slow year in 2008 that I'm still trying to make up for.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Interesting, I'm just under 34k on my '02, so I guess that works. But, I didn't buy it until Aug '03 and the first owner only put on 1k. So, I guess that's slightly ahead of the expected.

Riding an '05 with 37,500 miles on her. Won't have any trouble hitting 39,600 mark in the next month or so.
Didn't buy into the hype, you can keep the change.

Yup Chris... you've been doing some riding. And I don't know about you, but I find riding a great place to work on music! Singing, writing, or otherwise going over compositions so when I get back home to my studio, I have new stuff to work on.

I think that's why the odometers are blanked out when parked on most HDs.
A little off topic -- My daughter is dating an HD guy. ( I actually like this one - miracles do happen...) Anyway, we're talking tails from the trail the other day, and he says "Those BMW guys are crazy - they ride rain or shine." I did good, and didn't laugh. He's about 6' 5, and 275 lbs. so calling him a poos might not have been in my best interests.
