Part of the problem is when some of the guys and gals have air in the system, and there trying to get the air out!

OK-DON'T LET THE NEWB FOOL YA==I NOT ONLY HAD AIR IN LINE,BUT ALSO REPLACED WITH FRESH FLUID.ALL NEW DOT4.FRONT AND REAR.THE FIRST 4-6 PULLS ON THE FRONT WAS BUBBLES,THEN I CONTINUED THE PULLS UNTIL MASTER WAS ALL FRESH.STILL ONLY TOOK ABOUT 4 MINUTES ON FRONT AND REAR.I NOW HAVE FRESH FLUID IN BOTH,WITH A TOTAL TIME OF ABOUT 15 MINUTES.BRAKES WORKED GREAT.I'AM SURPRISED WITH ALL THE PROBLEMS AND CONCERNS THAT I READ ON THE FORUM AS IT RELATES TO SPEED BLEEDERS.I DID NOT CHANGE BRAKE LINES.IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED I WOULD SHARE SOME POSSIBLE REMEDYS FOR PROBLEMS SOME HAVE HAD WITH SPEED BLEEDERS.THERE ARE SOME POSSIBLE REASONS WHY PROBLEMS WITH NEW OIL AND BRAKE LINES.I WOULD BE HAPPY TO SHARE IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED.I WAS SKEPTICAL AT FIRST AFTER READING THE POSTS ON THIS FORUM.BIKE IS A 05 BA BOUGHT NEW IN 06 , AND HAS 13000 MILES ON IT.I WILL ADMIT I CALLED THE COMPANY,AND TALKED TO THE OWNER [MIKE] WHO DESIGNED AND BUILT THE SPEED BLEEDERS.JUST SAYING----SEE ON THE FLIPPER IF I DON'T FLOPPER

I've got some speed bleeders that I bought fron Newspeedmaster, but haven't installed them yet. When swapping them in, how much brake fluid, if any, leaks out?

VERY little fluid will be lost when changing bleeder screws. There is no pressure on the brake fluid unless you're applying the brakes.

use short slow pulls on speedbleeder.i used 4-5 short slow pulls with sb and saw bubbles immediately continue to replenish master until all old is out.it did work for me.i used a glass jar with a hole in lid,and a clear 32inch hose.2 oz in jar to start.good luck.speedbleeders forever.just saying.

I didn't look to see if you were a newb, You didn't state that you had air in the lines in your first post, just that you put the speed bleeders in.
There are people from different age groups, professional back grounds, personal interests & experiences here! THE ONE THING HERE (well not only one) everybody trys to help everyone else out(at lest I do) there maybe some arguing now and again and definitely some ribbing but all in all just a bunch of "good old friends" that I'll probably never meet!
