Yes. But it's okay to have different tastes.

Hey Ryan If you want to mix it and make a bottle last all evening (instead of just a couple of hours ) ... work with me here ... try diet cherry coke! It also helps if you keep the coke and the JD in the fridge. Go on, I dare ya!

Oh that sounds good. My friend just brought some Puerto Rican Egg Nog by for next weekend. Hard to let it sit in the fridge.

Oh, to have a Christmas tree like that & a case of cold ones to boot. I sure wouldn't have any problem 'disposing' of that tree after it dried out...

Lord Calvert, and Jim Beam I could see adulterating, maybe, but mixing a fine sour mash with anything other than ice or trace amounts of water is sacrilege!

Did SOMEBODY say "single malt" here???? YEAH baby...two fingers of BALVENIE 12y/o with, and pardon me all you "purists" out there , three small ice cubes! (now THAT'S the ticket ALRIGHT!!!!)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I, of course, am going to assume here Keith that you meant to say a Rusty Nail made with one of lesser BLENDED Scotchs, right?!
('cuz while I MAY not be a "purist" in the stricted sense of the word, I STILL feel it somewhat "sacrilege" to do THAT to a nice single-malt...SIMILAR, I might add, to how Moe feels about his particular sour-mash potent potable!!!)

Well there Dwight, I saw that coming, the thing about the Rusty Nail and all. Considering my pantry is graced with Single Malt only at any given time, then yes... I do use it for my Rusties. Sacrilege? Perhaps, but I do conduct a little sort of personal ceremony with the Scotch Gods so as not to upset the order of things for purists and their lesser counterparts.
Ah, for Gawd sake... would the likes of you and Gordie just find it in your hearts to forgive me for my ways. I am but a country hick and not near as cultured as you urbanities (but I loves me Single Malt).

Jack Daniels brings back some very painful memories from my yoot, so even the smell of it turns my stomach.
Did ya know that Jack Daniels died from a foot infection he got after kicking a safe in his office which he couldn't open?

It seems our yute shaped imbibing habits. Me? I started out pinching that which was clear... Therefore white rums, vodkas, gins, etc are not foremost in my cabinet. AND those are the mixable spirits. cept for blue sapphire.
Speaking of kicking things, I once was chasing a hen round the yard and as I lunged to grab her my big toe tried to push a very large coquina rock. Ouch. That was a JD moment.
