Reading this month's issue of New England Biker News (http://newenglandbikernews.com/past_issues.html), Boston Police can write a $300 ticket for bikes without an EPA stamp on it regardless if it is loud, running or just parked on the street. I don't know how to down load so you guys can just click on it (maybe someone can do it) but I don't think this months Aug.2009-Vol.3,Issue8 is on line yet. They (NEBN) have video of the proceedings at http:www.cityofboston.gov/citycouncil/cc_video_library.asp?id=722

Just because they can doesn't mean they have to. Of course, the a-holes still will.
Always remember to be yourself. Unless you suck. Then pretend to be someone else.

In another article, police in Sterling, MA had a motorcycle only road block down the road from a motorcycle event. They (Sterling P.D.) gave tickets to bikers with "altered exhaust(s)" and/or non DOT compliant helmets. MA law says that you have to have a helmet but doesn't say it has to be DOT according to the article. They Can, They Will, They Have! Bewere!
