Bub Exhaust Clamp Bolts, a bit limp if ya ask me..

Decided to seal off my Bub's with some RTV to cut down on the popping (it hasn't yet, so am going to have a look that I filled the gaps, as I had to turn the pipe a tad to get it to slip on), and torqued the Bub-provided clamps (or tried to) to the factory spec torque (22Nm I think), and guess what, they can't handle "that much" torque. Nope, stripped the threads clean!! Luckily, I had some of those extra-manly stock clamps with my stock exhaust, and they stood up to the test quite nicely!!! So, if ya get an aftermarket exhaust and it comes with new clamps, be forewarned, they might not be the stuff men are made of...

Try richening the idle mixture a bit, that might help with the popping..
