Any chance of finding one around 21 or more inches above the top of the headlight that will fit either the Triumph Roadster or Summer screen brackets, preferably in clear? (I have a set of both types of brackets.)
I've looked high & low, and can't find one that would fit without a lot of cutting. Me + sheet plastic cutting generally = a very long multi cuss word incantation

LJ, the new Clearview SS replacement is 18" above the light and they also have Roadster replacements that are the height you want. These are designed to exactly fit the factory mounts and are available in clear or very light tint. I went with the light gray tint. Contact Clearview Shields at: http://www.clearviewshields.com/index.htmYou can see the SS replacement on my bike at this thread: http://www.bonnevilleamerica.com/forums/...p;page=4#118063

Thanks for the tip. I'm using the Triumph Roadster screen that came with the bike, and even with it tipped back to around paralell with the forks, I'm still getting some serious head buffeting at 65 MPH and above. The buffeting is so severe my entire head and eyeballs are vibrating, which isn't conducive to visual acuity and safety. I have a 19" Memphis shield coming from an ebay purchase, but from what I'm reading, that may not help. I read somewhere that a correct height may be around at the bridge of the nose. I suppose that's one of many factors that eventually determine a correct fit. Perhaps the rounded tops of some screens is curling the wind from left & right right back into the rider's face. Who knows. Anyone have a wind tunnel I can borrow for a few hours?

Yes on Wind Vest
AS with the others you will have to let me know what "Model" to look for as I don't know. As I get more information from those who have them on their bikes, I'll keep track of it so I can passs that information on.
Slip Streamer has specific application for Triumph America.

Why yes, I do have a windtunnel to use. Smaller test section so we would have to do some scale modeling. Anybody up for that?

I have a Slip Streamer windshield on my America, but it bumps the speedometer when installed according to the instructions. I have the bottom bolt undone to rake it back and lower it a little to miss the speedo... How does it fit specifically on the America?

I already have one, but just so you know and for anyone else is interested, the Memphis Shades Alley Cat with the 7 1/2 inch headlight cutout works great. I got the "solar" tint which is almost invisible but reduces headlight glare. The Suzuki Marauder fittings clamp it to my 2002 Triumph Bonneville America perfectly. Also, no buffeting below about 80-85mph. I am 5'10".

I wrote "headlight glare", but I meant "sunglare" off of the instrument panel, etc.

I'd be interested in a price on a MEMPHIS SHADES METRIC FATS 19 PLASTIC CLEAR MEP3310
replacement shield.
Thanks

Take a look at Rifle. I have the solo-shield on mine. Same set-up as the Windvest, but MUCH cheaper and I'm really REALLY impressed with the quality. It's incredibly well made and mounts to about anything.

Have a new item on the way to the manufacturer. But until they arrive, I can get you any of the confirmed fit Memphis Shades for our bikes as well as some other items, Mirrors that look great and don't vibrate, Tachometers that won't break the bank, and will be adding some choices in Versah, EBC brake pads as well. Check out the site Fast eddy Sports Want something you don't see, let me know and I'll see if I can get it for you. I do my best to get great prices for you. I am going slowly as I add things. I research things as best I can using resources here and buying the stuff myself or talk to others who have already purchased so I know it will work for our bikes. eddy
