These little switch covers fill in the oval shaped hole on the rhs of the console which is originally intended for the clock switch. Comes complete with the switch cover and DPDT toggle switch with waterproof cover. Can be used for many things like driving lights, garage door opener, hazard lights etc. Send me a PM if you need to know more....

Soren, looks like your quest is over! the only switch I could find locally was much larger, and I think once I got the boot for it, about the same price, maybe a little more.

Got the switch, looks great. Thanks!
Now one question, can I run the lightbar spotlights through it without a relay?

No, definitly not.

OK to clarify, the switch itself won't handle the current of the lights - it's rated to about 5A at 12V and the lights pull closer to 10A - and even if it was, running that much current up the frame and into the tank console is asking for trouble (like, set-fire-to-your-bike type trouble).

However, I'm using one of those switches WITH a relay to drive my driving lights - it's really simple to wire up and a whole lot safer than putting large currents in dangerous places.

I'm running mine with a relay too. Different switch, but same idea. Don't be scared off by wiring up a relay. It's only two extra wires.

I received my switch cover kit in very fast time as it came from Australia. It looks as advertised and I will fit it soon.Think I will change the switch for a DPDT, center off, from Radio Shack so I can have the extra lights and also emergance flashers on the same switch. Well worth the $20 for the plate and switch boot. Bob
