Ema and I were out yesterday and did about 150 miles. She found a spot on the bottom of the muffler where the chrome is damaged. It is about the size of a dime. It is not in an area that anyone is going to notice, but I would like to know what I should do to keep it from rusting out.

I am thinking of removing the damaged area that is hanging. Put some naval jelly on it to clean it off and hit is with some heat resistant primer.

Does that sound right?

My second question is why was my wife laying on the ground looking at the underside of the muffler on the kick stand side? I don't know.
